Michael Kurt
Michael Kurt (born 2 April 1980 in Sumiswald) is a Swiss slalom canoer who has competed since the early 2000s. He won a gold medal in the K-1 team event at the 2003 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Augsburg.
At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Kurt competed in the K-1 event. He won the qualification round, and progressed to the semifinals. However, at this level, he lost entirely and finished twentieth out of 25.
Kurt competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In the K-1 event he finished seventeenth in the qualification round, failing to progress to the semifinals.
He lives in Wiedlisbach.
